About the Foundation
A LEADER IN HOSPICE CARE
In 1979, volunteers in Henderson County began one of the first hospices in the nation in order to provide care to their neighbors. Over 42 years later, the generosity of donors and volunteers make trusted care possible for all who need it.
Four Seasons Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, and an essential partner of Four Seasons Serious Illness & Hospice Care, supporting their mission to “Co-Create the Care Experience.” As Four Seasons has grown to now serve 13 counties in Western North Carolina, and has increased their service offerings to include Care Navigation, Home Care, Palliative Care, Hospice Care, and Grief Services, the Four Seasons Foundation has there every step of the way, ensuring that everyone has access to these compassionate services, regardless of their ability to pay.
A Community Based Non-Profit
As a nonprofit, the revenue from Four Seasons patients who are covered by insurance is reinvested in the quality and accessibility of care for the community. Instead of belonging to a corporate owner, our profits are used to ensure that our community has the best care possible and that care is available to all. In addition to our reinvestment of profits, the Four Seasons Foundation provides additional funds that ensure that not only is everyone available to receive care, regardless of their ability to pay, but we also offer additional services at no cost including We Honor Veterans, Grief Services for children and adults, and support for Four Seasons innovation.
Four Seasons is grateful to serve Buncombe, Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, Polk, Rutherford, Swain, and Transylvania Counties in North Carolina.
