The Window Artist: Mary Coffey

For over 14 years, Mary Coffey has volunteered for Four Seasons in many capacities. From patient visits, Foundation event planning, home store volunteering, and as a board member, her passion for ensuring hospice care is available to our community is evident.

When you meet Mary Coffey, you immediately recognize her intellect, her big heart, and her love for Four Seasons, but you might not realize what a gifted artist she is. Mary is the creative force behind the incredible seasonal window displays at the Hospice Home Store in Hendersonville. Her windows cause people to gather around the window display, trying to find the “scavenger hunt items” and just marveling at the meticulous details.

She uses some items from the home stores in the displays, but many of the detailed items she actually makes herself. She uses many creative techniques to fashion detailed pieces for windows featuring everything from Alice in Wonderland to incredible holiday scenes, autumn forests, and more.

Mary will be taking a much-needed break from window creation, and during this time, we want to celebrate her creations so far and recognize the immense work and talent that have gone into making them.

“Mary Coffey’s talent and creativity have drawn people into the Hospice Home Store, and have made our window a must-see stop when visiting downtown Hendersonville,” said Bobby Bennett, Four Seasons Senior Director of Retail and Community Support. “She has also been integral in helping us with promoting our Warehouse sales, volunteering in the store, helping plan major Foundation events, and serving as a board member. Thank you, Mary.”
