IRA Rollover

IRA owners age 70½ or older can donate up to $105,000 directly to Four Seasons with the Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). This may satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) and could prevent you from moving into a higher tax bracket.

QCD gifts must be made payable to Four Seasons (Tax ID: 56-1252665)

Benefits of an IRA Charitable Rollover

  • Avoid taxes on transfers of up to $105,000 from your IRA to Four Seasons
  • May satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) for the year
  • Can reduce your taxable income, even if you do not itemize deductions
  • Can prevent you from moving into a higher income tax bracket
  • Make a gift that is not subject to the deduction limits on charitable gifts

How an IRA Charitable Rollover Gift Works

Contact your IRA administrator and request a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) made directly to Four Seasons. Provide your IRA administrator with Four Seasons’ Tax ID number (56-1252665).

Please notify our office to confirm when you are making this type of gift as some IRA custodians do not always provide the account holder’s name when sending the check to Four Seasons.

Gifts from your IRA

If you are 70½ or older, you can use your IRA to fulfill your charitable goals. You can use the “Make a Gift From My IRA” tool to contact your IRA custodian and make a qualified charitable distribution. We will acknowledge your generous gifts as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), which may satisfy your RMD, if applicable.
